All United Methodists asked to participate in Denomination-wide Survey

Letter From the Bishop

All United Methodists are being asked to participate in a denomination-wide survey authorized by the Council of Bishops and designed to listen to United Methodists across our connection about the present and future of The United Methodist Church. The insights gathered will directly inform the 2026 Leadership Gathering as we seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The survey will be open from January 15 – February 15, 2026, and accessible on ResourceUMC.org.
The survey is estimated to take only ten minutes. Findings from the survey will be shared with the general Church in the months leading up to the October gathering.

Also, at the request of the Council of Bishops, United Methodist Communications (UMCOM) will host three churchwide webinars in order to help us discern our Wesleyan identity and new vision:

  • February 21, 2026, 10 am - 11:30 am Eastern: Wesleyan Mission, “Serve Joyfully”
  • March 21, 2026, 10 am - 11:30 am Eastern: Wesleyan Leadership, “Lead Courageously”

More information, including registration links, will be available on ResourceUMC.org. Those registered will have an opportunity to submit questions beforehand. All webinars will be recorded and available for later viewing.
