This past year, we started a Community Garden in the front lawn of our church! We call it the “Grow Together Community Garden.” The garden features 12 beds where our gardeners support two main goals: to grow fresh fruit and vegetables to share, and to teach others how to grow fresh food. The plots are offered on a “first come, first served” basis, and are tended by people in the church and neighborhood.

While no fee is charged, we do require each member gardener to donate 10% of their vegetable harvest to folks who cannot grow their own food. With each harvest, a member gardener places their 10% into a cooler located beneath our Little Food Pantry, where those in need can receive them.
