United Methodist Women
The purpose of United Methodist Women: The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
There is currently one United Methodist Women circle at Fairmont. The JOY Circle meets on the second Monday of each month at 11:00 in the Margaret Hooke-Wesley Bible Class Sunday School room.
The circle offers opportunities for Bible Study, mission projects at the church and in the community, mission studies and fellowship. Louise Tippett and Brenda Johnson are the co-presidents of the UMW unit. For additional information about the morning circle, contact Carolyn Dunne.
For information about another group for women (not exactly a circle, but a group gathering for mission and fellowship) that is in the organizational stages, contact Jean Porter.
Our Fairmont Men’s Fellowship meets monthly for breakfast on the third Friday at 7:00 AM in the Fairmont Fellowship Hall.
