Congratulations to Billie Jeanne Satterwhite, the winner of last Sunday’s Chili contest. Between donations at the lunch and additional donations mailed in the UMYF raised $544 toward our World Service and Connectional Ministries apportionments. Thanks to all our chili cooks and to all who supported the lunch.
It’s the Season after Epiphany. Midway through, it’s also Black History Month. The historic and ecumenical purpose of the Season after Epiphany is for us as a church to “rise up” and get ready for the work of accompanying people on their journey to baptism or restoration in the life of the church during the Season of Lent.
Sunday, November 5 we will not have morning worship, but one combined service at 7:00 PM, Sunday Night LIVE!
The City of Oaks Marathon is that morning and because of street closings making it difficult to get to Fairmont the decision was made to have one special All Saints service.
