October is packed full of events for those interested in mission opportunities and social justice including affordable housing, food insecurity, and homelessness.

The Greater Triangle Area CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday, October 27 at Pullen Park at 2:00 PM

Church World Service, the sponsor of the walk is active in disaster relief efforts including for Hurricane Dorian. A percentage of the funds raised stay in the local area and will go to help victims of Hurricane Dorian.
There is a 3 mile walk and a 1 mile walk. AND, our own John Lewis is the DJ for the event. You can sign up to walk and donate online.

Sacred Resistance and Moving from Charity to Solidarity: Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Edenton Street UMC.

As Christians, when we see something that is wrong in our nation or community, how and when should we respond?
