Sunday Night LIVE!
Fairmont United Methodist Church

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
The music keeps on rolling, this week we welcome back the wonderful Ronetia Steward!
In this series of meditations, I am seeking to capture some of the great themes of the Bible – a rich treasure chest from which to draw!
Sunday, the question is asked of Jesus, “What is the greatest commandment?” The answer? There are not one but two! To read up on them, see Matthew 22:34-40.
I hope to see YOU Sunday!
Peace and Prayers,
Pastor Steve

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
I can scarcely believe it – the Fairmont Gospel Revue marks 14 years since our first performance. Think of that! Come a little early, 6:45, for some extra tunes!
We’re doing a project on the “Summaries,” the scripture’s encapsulations of the “the big picture.”
John 1:1-18, “The Word IS God.”
See you in church!?

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
Oh, it’s always so great… I’m talking about the one and only Martin Luther King, Jr, All Children’s Choir! The founder and director, Randy Shepard, has been leading this famous group for 26 years – think of that!
At our regular time dozens (scores?) of singers will gather to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord!” Come early to get a good seat – and feel free to use the balcony!
Sunday, 7:00 pm – Bring a friend AND your friend’s friend!
(Yes, I’m REALLY excited!)
Praying for The Choir,
Pastor Steve

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
Special service time, 6:30 pm!
Wow! What a great season we’re having! The greens are up (and beautiful!), our young people shared the joy (wonderfully!), and THIS week, we will hear two choirs performing an amazing seasonal piece, “Gloria!” by John Rutter. Community United Church of Christ choir joins our own! And there’s an orchestra – hey, it IS Sunday Night “LIVE!”
Special service time, 6:30 pm!
This will be a BIGGER than usual crowd for our LOVE FEAST. Therefore, we will serve the
hot chocolate and cookies “reception style” after the service. We need another few batches of cookies AND someone to arrange them BY 6:00 pm. We also need more to stir and pour the hot chocolate AND to carry materials downstairs after the service.
WILL YOU PLEASE REPLY BY RETURN EMAIL THE WAY YOU CAN HELP? THANKS!
Pastor Steve

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
What a glorious season! We began by considering the song of Mary (Luke 1:45-55), and now turn to Joseph (Matthew 1:18-25).
We do that in the framework of The Hanging of The Greens.
Do you know why Christians find meaning in holly, ivy, pine, fir, and cedar? Come see!
Note again, special time, 6:30 pm.
Peace on earth,
Pastor Steve
NEXT Sunday is our annual drama, “Dude! You hear what I hear?” Followed by a reception. That, too, will be at 6:30 pm.

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
It’s almost Thanksgiving – and that is the theme of the next Sunday Night LIVE! as in, how’s YOUR “attitude of gratitude?!”
Liz Danielian will be our musician of the night.
Holy Communion will include a liturgy geared toward this gracious theme of giving thanks.
The meditation is from Luke 17:11-19, “With Grateful Hearts.”
Will I see you?

Hello, LIVE! Friends!
What glorious days of autumn.
From time to time, you have the opportunity to hear not only other musicians, but other preachers! Sunday is such a time, when our friend and campus minister, Rev. Kirk Oldham, will be preaching–Luke 18:9-14; What’s Wrong With Religious People?
Our musician will be here in a first time performance, Alexander Brower.
I look forward to seeing you at the next SNL!
Peace and Prayer,
Pastor Steve
